Farmers Market-Day

Farmers Market of Cumberland County Local Food Initiative includes funding for enhancing the Market Day experience for both customers and vendors.  :

Objective 1:  The project will increase domestic consumption of locally produced fresh food by enhancing the existing Cumberland County Farmers Market with a better location and better service.

The work plan (to-do-list) includes the following items in red. The plan for using this website as a report on the grant includes: posting a photo of each of the following goals on this page to show how this aspect is working in the Farmers Market.
Market Day improvements include:
  • Adjust the location of the Farmers Market to create more shade for vendor and customer comfort.
The big tent is our main improvement for shady comfort, and so far, the biggest  purchase.  The smaller tents are helpful too. Three set together, below.

There is no food to look at in these pictures !  But the people are fun in these photos.  Pam and her granddaughter hang out at the picnic table booth, right next to where Roue cooks his breakfast burritos.

  • Tents, chairs, tables, fans, other vendor equipment,

No, these beautiful chickens did not perform musically at the Market.  But this picture fits here in the space quite well.  These chickens are raised by Kim Muer at 4C Cattle Company, Burkesville KY.
